Abnormal Liver Enzymes

The chemical byproducts of liver enzyme activity can be toxic to the body if enzyme activity is elevated beyond normal levels. This is most often caused by hepatitis and alcohol-related liver diseases, so if you have an excess of enzymes, be sure to tell your healthcare provider for further testing.
