Boil
A boil is a painful, pus-filled bump that forms under the skin. They typically begin as a red, swollen, tender area that eventually develops into a firm, raised bump. Boils are usually caused by a bacterial infection of a hair follicle or oil gland and can occur anywhere on the body, but are most commonly found on the face, neck, armpits, buttocks, or thighs.
