Fingernail Injury
Injured fingernails can usually be treated at home. Keep the area bandaged and sterilized to avoid infection. If the bleeding or pain is excessive or won't stop, or if the nail's regrowth is deformed, book a visit with a nearby Carbon Health.
- The treatment for a fingernail injury depends on the severity of the injury. For minor injuries such as a bruised nail or small cut, the injured area can be cleaned with soap and water and covered with a bandage to protect it from further damage. Applying ice to the injured area may also help reduce pain and swelling.
