Mastitis
Mastitis is an infection that occurs in the breast tissue, typically in women who are breastfeeding. It is caused by bacteria that enter the breast through a cracked or sore nipple and can cause pain, swelling, redness, and warmth in the affected breast. - Mastitis may resolve on its own in some cases, but it is important to seek treatment to prevent further complications. If left untreated, mastitis can lead to the formation of a breast abscess, which may require surgical drainage.
