Bloodshot Eyes
"Red eyes", or bloodshot eyes, occurs when blood vessels in the eye become inflamed or irritated. Allergies and pink eye are common causes of this condition. Bloodshot eyes normally go away on their own but if it is not, schedule a visit to a nearby Carbon Health to get treatment.
- A bloodshot eye, or red eye, typically indicates dilation or inflammation of the blood vessels on the surface of the eye. This can be caused by a variety of factors, such as allergies, infections, dryness, or irritation from foreign objects or chemicals. In some cases, more serious underlying conditions such as glaucoma or uveitis may cause a red eye.
