Elbow Pain

Elbow pain can be a sign of a variety of underlying medical conditions, including overuse injuries, nerve compression, joint inflammation, or fractures. Ignoring elbow pain can lead to the worsening of the underlying condition, and may result in chronic pain, loss of mobility, or even permanent damage to the elbow joint.
Elbow pain can occur even if you haven't experienced an injury. Some common causes of elbow pain without injury include overuse of the forearm muscles, such as in tennis elbow or golfer's elbow. Arthritis can also affect the elbow joint, causing pain, stiffness, and swelling. Bursitis, or inflammation of the bursa near the elbow joint, can cause pain and tenderness. Cubital tunnel syndrome, which is caused by the compression of the ulnar nerve at the elbow, and radial tunnel syndrome, which involves the compression of the radial nerve, can also cause elbow pain.
