Sports Physical Exam - Ages 17 & Under
A sports physical exam is performed to determine whether it is safe for a person to participate in a sport. Sports physical exams, and camp physicals, are comprehensive check-ups that evaluate the overall health and fitness of a child.
- Yes. Many states require a physical before allowing children to participate in summer camps or sports. Be sure to check with your program administrator about requirements for participation. Even if it's not mandatory, we recommend every young person who participates in sports or attends camp gets this exam annually in addition to regular checkups.
