Gastroenteritis is inflammation of the intestinal symptom, caused by either viruses or bacteria. Common symptoms of gastroenteritis include diarrhea, vomiting, and bloating. It normally will go away with rest and hydration, but symptoms persist longer than a couple of days, or if the symptoms become painful, seek medical care.
Gastroenteritis, also known as the stomach flu, is caused by a viral or bacterial infection that inflames the stomach and intestines. The infection is often spread through contaminated food or water, or through close contact with an infected person.
