Mole Consultation

Moles are small brown spots that grow on a person's skin. Developing moles is common, but most of these growths are harmless. After examination Carbon Health professionals can let you know if removal is necessary or an option. Schedule an appointment especially if your mole changes in size or color, or if it begins to bleed or fall off.
There are four types of moles: junctional, compound, dermal, and atypical. Junctional moles are flat and brown and occur at the junction between the epidermis and dermis. Compound moles are slightly raised and contain both pigmented and non-pigmented cells. Dermal moles are raised and flesh-colored or pink.
