Weakness
It's common to feel weaker than normal when ill or exhausted, but persistent weakness is cause for concern. No illness should leave you feeling weak for longer than a couple of weeks. Recurring episodes of weakness with no obvious cause should be also discussed with a doctor.
- Asthenia, which is also known as weakness or fatigue, can have different symptoms depending on its underlying cause. Some common symptoms of asthenia include generalized weakness affecting the whole body, muscle weakness that affects specific muscles or muscle groups, lack of energy, reduced stamina, sleep disturbances, difficulty concentrating, and mood changes.
