Healthcare is Shannon’s second career. After spending 15 years as a librarian, she believed she could make a greater impact in her community by helping people lead healthier lives. She especially enjoys working with adults in underserved populations and can often be found educating people at health fairs. Shannon is drawn to the complexity of caring for geriatric patients and is passionate about supporting individuals with substance use issues. Shannon has a particular interest in serving geriatric patients, underserved communities, LGBTQ+ individuals, immigrant populations, and adults with substance use challenges.
Shannon loves being in nature and enjoys activities such as kayaking, running, swimming, and hiking. She is also an avid reader and finds joy in baking during her free time.
