Bleeding

The loss of blood from the body can occur through both internal and external bleeding. Also called a hemorrhage, bleeds can be very serious emergencies if left untreated. Always seek medical attention at a nearby Carbon Health if a bleed is massive or does not clot.
The seriousness of bleeding can vary depending on the location, extent, and cause of the bleeding. In some cases, bleeding may be minor and may stop on its own or with basic first aid measures. However, more severe bleeding, such as from a deep cut or injury, or from a medical condition such as an ulcer, hemorrhage, or stroke, can be life-threatening and require immediate medical attention.
