Dilated Pupils

Most times your pupils are dilated, it's your eyes adjusting to the dark. Strong emotions, medications, and certain drugs can also trigger pupil dilation. It is only caused for concern if the dilation does not subside within a few hours unless your medication prescriber has informed you this is an expected side effect.
If pupils remain dilated for too long, it can cause sensitivity to light, blurred vision, and difficulty focusing. It may also be a sign of an underlying medical issue such as a head injury or nerve damage so seek medical attention if you experience prolonged dilation.
