Discharge From Eye

While a crust of cells and oils occasionally forms around your eye, especially in the morning, liquid discharge is not normal and should be medically examined. It is likely caused by infections such as viral conjunctivitis (pink eye).
Eye discharge, also known as "eye goop," can be a sign of a number of different conditions, ranging from mild to serious. If you are unsure of the cause of discharge coming out from your eye, book an appointment with a Carbon Health provider.
