Dog bites are extremely serious medical incidents that require immediate attention. If bitten by a dog, visit the nearest Carbon Health to avoid complications. The saliva from dog bites can cause severe infections, including rabies, and may result in long-term health consequences if left untreated.
- If a dog bites you clean the wound with soap and warm water, book a Carbon Health appointment, identify the dog and its vaccination history, report the bite to local authorities and follow up with medical treatment as instructed by your doctor.
