Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common virus most often affecting children under 5. It is spread by direct contact with saliva or mucus. Symptoms include fever, rash, sore throat, irritability, and loss of appetite. The best way to prevent the spread is to practice good hygiene, such as washing hands often & avoiding close contact with people who are sick.
