Biography / Experience
Marisa Jayakar, MD, knew she wanted to be a doctor at a young age because she wanted to make a positive impact on people. After graduating from Stanford University with a degree in human biology, she attended University of Los Angeles for medical school and discovered her passion for primary care. Marisa returned to the Bay Area to complete the Stanford Family Medicine Residency Program. She also completed the Stanford Primary Care Sports Medicine Program, where she cared for patients ranging from weekend warriors to Division I college athletes, and completed training in musculoskeletal ultrasound and injections. With board certification in both family and sports medicine, Marisa is uniquely suited to provide primary care services to her patients. She strongly believes in Carbon Health's philosophy of providing exceptional, accessible, and inclusive healthcare to all, and aims to use her expertise to help her Carbon Health community lead an active and healthy lifestyle.
