On location in Aurora, CO

September 17, 2025

Meet Madison Mueller, Center Manager of our Aurora, CO location. In this post, she shares a closer look at the clinic and what makes the Aurora community unique.

What types of patients do you see?

Here in Aurora, we’re fortunate to care for a wide variety of patients who make up the heart of our community. With several high schools in the area, we see many students who come to us for everything from sports physicals to everyday health concerns. We also care for families who trust us to look after their loved ones, as well as older patients who appreciate the convenience and support we provide close to home. What makes our work special is being able to connect with people at different stages of life and provide care that fits their needs. We’re proud to be part of the Aurora community, and we value the relationships we’ve built with the patients and families who count on us.

Where are you located?

The Aurora urgent care is right off Parker Rd and Arapahoe Rd, at 6554 S Parker Rd here in Aurora. You’ll spot us in the Arapahoe Crossing shopping center, tucked in next to the Bank of America and the King Soopers gas station. If you’re in the mood for a bite, Chili’s is right there in the same lot too.  Just a heads up, if you search us on Google, you might still see an old picture that shows a Papa Murphy’s where we’re at. Don’t worry, that’s us now! We’re here as your local urgent care, ready to take care of you when you need it.

Our location is on the corner!

What are the main cities or neighborhoods you serve?

We’re lucky to be in a spot that makes it easy to care for people from all around. Most of our patients come from Aurora, but we also see quite a few folks from Parker and Centennial since we’re so close to the edge of those communities. Being right across the street from Regis Jesuit High School, we also get a lot of students and families stopping by. It’s a nice mix of neighborhoods, and we enjoy being connected to so many parts of the community.

What’s your favorite thing about working at this location?

My favorite thing about working at this location is the atmosphere in our clinic. There’s so much natural light and a real sense of hominess. It doesn’t feel closed off or dull, it just feels comfortable, almost like home. That makes spending my weekdays here something I really look forward to. I also love our team. From the medical assistants to the clinicians to the support staff, everyone is easy to talk to and genuinely supportive, which makes it easy to build great relationships.

Any tips for first-time patients?

If you’re visiting us for the first time, there are a few things that might help make your trip easier. When turning off Parker Rd, keep an eye out since the turn comes up quickly and is easy to miss if you’re going too fast. Once you arrive, you’ll find a parking lot right in front of our building, and you can park anywhere that’s open. To make your check-in even quicker, we recommend downloading our app ahead of time. And don’t forget to bring your insurance card along with a driver’s license or photo ID.

How is Carbon Health involved in the local community?

We’re proud to be active in the Aurora community and do our best to support local schools and organizations. Our clinic is a sponsor of both Regis Jesuit High School and Lutheran High School athletics, and we’re also members of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce. Whenever we can, we love getting involved in local events. For example, this past June we joined in on the Denver Pride 5K. Staying connected with our community is important to us, and we’re always looking for ways to be part of what’s happening here.

Any local ties?

A couple of our team members actually grew up right here in the neighborhood and went to schools in the area, which makes caring for this community extra special. While some of us commute in from other parts of town, we all feel it’s worth the drive because we love this clinic and the patients we get to care for. Being part of this community, whether through long roots or the time we spend here each day, really feels like home.
