Meet Julie Haywood, Center Manager of our Carmichael, CA location and Sr. Center Manager for the Sacramento Region. In this post, she shares a closer look at the clinic and what makes the local community unique.
Where are you located?
We are centrally located in the heart of Carmichael on the corner of Manzanita and Lincoln Ave.

What types of patients do you see?
Our Carmichael clinic proudly serves patients of all ages—from infants as young as 6 months to seniors in their 90s. We are especially honored to care for the vibrant elderly population here in Carmichael and are committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to every generation. We offer a full range of urgent care services, treating everything from common colds and minor illnesses to injuries that may require on-site X-rays. Our experienced medical team is equipped to handle a wide variety of non-life-threatening conditions quickly and efficiently. In addition to urgent care services, we partner with many local businesses to provide comprehensive occupational health services. These include pre-employment physicals, drug testing, and treatment for on-the-job workers’ compensation injuries.
What are the main cities or neighborhoods you serve?
We also serve surrounding Sacramento neighborhoods including the Fair Oaks, Arden-Arcade, Citrus Heights and Rancho Cordova communities.
What’s your favorite thing about working at this location?
I love working in Carmichael because of the wonderful patients we get to serve. There is nothing more rewarding than putting a smile on the face of someone who isn’t feeling well and helping them get back to their day with confidence and comfort.

Any tips for first-time patients?
We are conveniently located in Manzanita Plaza, making it easy for patients to find us. There is also plenty of on-site parking available directly in front of our doors.
How is Carbon Health involved in the local community?
We are proud members of the Carmichael Chamber of Commerce and actively participate in many local community events. Staying involved allows us to build meaningful relationships, support our neighbors, and remain connected to the community we are honored to serve.

Any local ties?
Most of our staff live in the Greater Sacramento area. We are a small but mighty clinic. Our team is dedicated, compassionate, and committed to delivering high-quality care to the community.
