Meet Ali Alefi, Center Manager of our Escondido, CA location. In this post, he shares a closer look at the clinic and what makes the Escondido community unique.
What types of patients do you see?
Given the highly residential area in Escondido, we cater to a wide range of ages from infants to elderly. We are ready to take care of locals and their visiting family and friends! Skip the long wait at other nearby clinics when you can’t get in to see your Primary Care or aren’t feeling well.
Where are you located?
You will find the our clinic in the Brixmor Shopping Center (across the street from Felicita Plaza), right next door to Trader Joe’s. There is abundant free parking that makes our clinic accessible. Our patients love to swing by Trader Joe’s after their visit and before heading to their local pharmacy to pick up any prescriptions. We also love having so many great food spots nearby like Major Market, Better Buzz, Everbowl, Jersey Mike’s, and plenty more. An easy one stop shop!
What are the main cities or neighborhoods you serve?
Our clinic is proud to serve Escondido and the surrounding communities, including San Marcos, Valley Center, Vista, Poway, and Rancho Bernardo. We’re conveniently located off of the 15 freeway and easy to access from neighboring cities. We welcome patients from all over the region. If you’re coming from out of town, we’re also just a short drive from San Diego International Airport, which makes us easy to reach for visitors or patients passing through.
What’s your favorite thing about working at this location?
My favorite thing about working at this location is the incredible team dynamic and the way they make our clinic feel comfortable for our regular patients. Everyone genuinely loves being at the clinic which makes it easy to welcome and serve everyone who walks in our doors. Seeing the trust we’ve built in the community that they would refer us to their own family and friends is heart-warming!
Any tips for first-time patients?
We have easily accessible free parking right in front of the clinic! Our patients love that they can walk-in and be seen with hardly any wait time, and appointments are seen so quickly!
How is Carbon Health involved in the local community?
We love being part of our community in Escondido and getting involved in the neighborhoods around us too. You can often find us hanging out at chamber events and street fairs alongside our neighboring Carbon Health clinics. We’re also big supporters of local schools, helping out with programs, sponsoring events, and offering discounted sports physicals. It’s a lot of fun and we feel lucky to give back while connecting with so many amazing people.
Any local ties?
Our team is really connected to the area. Many of us grew up here or went to the local schools, and some of us even have kids in schools nearby. We love being part of the community, whether it’s volunteering, helping out at local events, or just seeing familiar faces come through the clinic. It makes working here feel like being part of one big neighborhood family.
