Meet Liz Rodriguez, Center Manager of our Indio, CA location. In this post, she shares a closer look at the clinic and what makes the Indio community unique.
What types of patients do you see?
At the Indio urgent care clinic, we see a wide range of patients from infants, school-age children, college students, travelers, working professionals from various industries, and seniors. It’s a diverse group, and we're equipped to care for all ages and backgrounds. Over the summer, we saw a lot of students for sports physicals and coming through for events like Coachella, but now that we’re heading into fall cold & flu symptoms are a top reason people are coming in.
Where are you located?
We’re located on Avenue 42 and Monroe Street, just off the I-10 Freeway—right across from In-N-Out and Raising Cane’s, so we’re easy to find.
What are the main cities or neighborhoods you serve?
Our urgent care proudly serves the surrounding communities, including Thermal, Coachella, Indio, Bermuda Dunes, and La Quinta. In fact, we have sister locations in La Quinta and Palm Desert! Conveniently located right off the I-10 Freeway, we're easily accessible to patients throughout the area.
What’s your favorite thing about working at this location?
The team is great and we all care about the patients. Our patients leave us positive reviews for our professional, helpful team and kind care.
Any tips for first-time patients?
Parking is convenient and easily accessible, and the clinic is located right next to Wingstop, making it easy to find. Walk-ins are always welcome, but we also take appointments and often have same-day availability. The option to make appointments can be helpful if you prefer to plan ahead. Please remember to bring your ID and insurance card! But if you don’t have insurance, we have self-pay pricing too.
How is Carbon Health involved in the local community?
We make it easy for people who are starting employment, for example we work with local hospitals to take care of their pre-employment screenings—like physicals, drug tests, TB tests, and vaccines.
