Meet Shannan Thorne, Center Manager of our Lynnwood, WA location. In this post, she shares a closer look at the clinic and what makes the Lynnwood community unique.
What types of patients do you see?
Most of our patients are local to Lynnwood! We see lots of young adults and families. We’re also a popular choice because of our onsite x-ray, so we can care for many non-life-threatening needs to help people avoid the ER.
Where are you located?
Across 184th St SW from the Alderwood Mall, near the Home Depot and Costco. Carbon Health Lynnwood Urgent Care is in its own building - if you enter the block from 184th St SW, we’ll be on that road to the right. Fun fact! The Carbon Health Lynnwood Urgent Care location is 1 of 9 Carbon Health locations located near (or just off) the 5 freeway. 3 of the 9 are located in Washington state: Lynnwood, Mill Creek and Federal Way locations.
What are the main cities or neighborhoods you serve?
Most of our patients are local to Lynnwood! We see people from the Larch Way, Alderwood Manor, Cedar Valley, and Beverly Acres neighborhoods. But even people from Edmonds or Everett come for a visit.

Any tips for first-time patients?
We’re located in the middle of a big shopping area, so there is plenty of free parking. By bus, we are near the lines 117, 166, and 103. If you type the address directly into google maps, it may take you to the apartment complex next door, but you would still drive right by us. Just give us a call if you get lost!
How is Carbon Health involved in the local community?
We participate in local events and are Chamber of Commerce members. Recently, we participated in the Mill Creek Festival, which was a great way to meet families that didn’t know about Carbon Health. People are always surprised we are open 7 days a week and they can walk in without an appointment. We saw a lot of cute dogs. PS: We have a location in Mill Creek too!
Any local shoutouts?
There is great coffee nearby (He Brews Coffee) and food, too. Shout out to the several great teriyaki places like Lee’s Grill N Bento and Sushi Misoya!
