Meet Kenny Vo, Center Manager of our Mountain View, CA location. In this post, he shares a closer look at the clinic and what makes the Mountain View community unique.
What types of patients do you see?
Our Mountain View location is located around a lot of tech companies in Silicon Valley, so we tend to get a lot of young adults from either big techs or startups. Those big tech companies also have service workers and because of that, we get many workers comp and employer cases as well. Last but not least, we’re very close to Stanford University and have a partnership with Stanford Health Care Alliance so we’ll often see urgent care patients who’ve been sent over from their locations if they’re too busy.
Where are you located?
The urgent and primary care site is located at the intersection of San Antonio Road and El Camino Real, in the San Antonio Center. It’s a large shopping center that includes a Safeway, Trader Joe’s, and Walmart. There’s also a CVS across the street at Target, making pharmacy pick-ups convenient for our patients. Just a few doors down, there’s also a Boba Bliss (milk tea shop), where many family members have enjoyed grabbing a drink while waiting.
What are the main cities or neighborhoods you serve?
We serve residents from Mountain View, Palo Alto, Los Altos, Menlo Park, and Sunnyvale. We also get many patients from Santa Clara and San Jose because they work in the area. We are 10 minutes from the San Antonio Caltrain station!
What’s your favorite thing about working at this location?
The San Antonio Center is massive! It has so many great things around here. Groceries, formal, casual, and quick restaurants, a gym, Target. And there is always parking available even with all these shops.
Any tips for first-time patients?
Many first time urgent care patients are surprised we now offer primary care. They are very interested in that service line, because in addition to caring for immediate concerns, they can work with a primary care provider (PCP) for other health goals like annual screenings and medication management.

How is Carbon Health involved in the local community?
You’ll find Carbon Health at local community festivals and events. Mountain View is one of seven locations in the South Bay, and one of 22 locations in the Bay Area! I'm currently still only in my first month, but I'm personally hoping to be an active member of the community and join my teammates in outreach programs and support groups within the area.
Any local ties?
We have 2 Medical Assistants who live in the area, one grew up in Palo Alto and one who grew up in Mountain View. They love this area! I also used to work in Palo Alto so I'm also very familiar with the area. We often get lunch from Sajj which is right next door and it is such a great healthy option. There's also a Trader Joe's here which is great for picking up snacks for the team.
