On location in Paso Robles, CA

November 4, 2026

Meet Jesus Ramirez, Center Manager of our Paso Robles, CA location. In this post, he shares a closer look at the clinic and what makes the local community unique.

‍

‍What types of patients do you see?

Our urgent care clinic is the only one in Paso Robles and cares for many visitors and tourists, thanks to the many vineyards and wineries in the area.  At the same time, Paso Robles has a very diverse patient population. We see a lot of children, Hispanic families, college students, and other members of the local community. We also see a large geriatric population because there are not many primary care physicians available in the surrounding area.

Our clinic also has X-ray services available on-site, which allows us to provide additional services and makes it more convenient for patients who need imaging.

‍

Where are you located?

We are at the corner of 1st Street and Vine Street in the Gateway Plaza. Look for the following signage at the intersection to find our location. It’s about a 5 minute drive from Downtown City Park, which is very convenient for both visitors and the community.

‍

‍What are the main cities or neighborhoods you serve?

Paso Robles is located between San Luis Obispo and Salinas, the two major cities around us, but we see patients from all around including Templeton, San Miguel, Shandon, and Creston.

‍

What’s your favorite thing about working at this location?

The team works really well together to make sure patients are taken care of quickly and easily! In addition to urgent care services, we also offer occupational services (including pre-employment, drug tests, TB tests, and workers’ comp) to the community, which makes the work feel diverse and keeps us busy all week.

‍

Any tips for first-time patients?

We have a parking lot in front of the building, as well as on the sides and back of the clinic, so parking is not an issue. We are open 7 days a week and accept walk-ins, but you can also make an appointment if that works better for your schedule. Please remember to bring your ID and insurance card, if you’ll use insurance, but we also offer self-pay pricing.

‍‍

How is Carbon Health involved in the local community?

We are always involved in community events, such as The Wine Fest, Taco Fest, and Fair the Well. We’ve also had sponsorships with local schools around the area, and are happy to support our local teams and organizations.

‍

Any local ties?

A lot of the staff are familiar with the area since they grew up here, including Externship Students from local schools looking to get real experience in the medical field. Shout out to our local donut shops - Dolly and DK donuts - which are staff favorites
