Meet Bansri Patel, Center Manager of our Skillman, NJ location in the Montgomery Township. In this post, she shares a closer look at the clinic and what makes the Skillman community unique.
What types of patients do you see?
At Carbon Health Skillman, (aka Montgomery!) we take care of just about everyone - families in the neighborhood, working professionals on the go, and students from Princeton University. People stop in for help with things like cuts, wound care, cold and flu symptoms, and UTIs, or to get a sports physical before the season starts. We also handle DOT physicals and drug tests, making it easy to check those boxes close to home. Because we’re part of the community, we often see whole families come through our doors, and we love being that go-to spot for quick, reliable care.
Where are you located?
We’re located right on Route 206 in the Montgomery Shopping Center, in the same plaza as the Montgomery Cinema and ShopRite. Our clinic is easy to find, with plenty of parking available.
What are the main cities or neighborhoods you serve?
Our Skillman clinic proudly cares for patients from Princeton, Skillman, Hillsborough, and Belle Mead, and we often see folks from the surrounding towns who are passing through or working nearby. Being right on Route 206 makes it easy to get to, whether you’re a student in Princeton, a family in Hillsborough, or a neighbor running errands at the Montgomery Shopping Center. We love being part of this community and serving as a trusted spot for quick, reliable care close to home.
What’s your favorite thing about working at this location?
My favorite thing about working at the Skillman clinic is the strong sense of community. We care for families who’ve lived here for years, students from Princeton who bring great energy, and neighbors who stop in for quick care between errands. No two days are the same, one moment we might be doing a sports physical, the next helping with a laceration or DOT physical and that variety keeps the work meaningful. What makes it even more special is our team; everyone is supportive, and together we create an environment where patients feel comfortable, cared for, and treated like neighbors rather than just visitors.
Any tips for first-time patients?
If you’re visiting us for the first time, you’ll find it easy and convenient. We’re located in the Montgomery Shopping Center, so there’s plenty of free parking. While you’re in the area, you’ll find restaurants, ShopRite, and the Montgomery Cinema right in the same complex, which makes it easy to fit your visit into a busy day.
How is Carbon Health involved in the local community?
Carbon Health is proud to be part of the Montgomery community, both inside and outside of our clinic. Our team has volunteered with the Montgomery baseball team, joined in on Run With Rotary, and taken part in Trunk or Treat to celebrate with local families. We also support school health initiatives, wellness fairs, and seasonal drives to give back to neighbors in need. For us, being in Skillman isn’t just about providing urgent care, it’s about building connections and supporting the community we’re lucky to serve.
Any local ties?
Our team has strong ties to the Montgomery and Princeton community. We often order from local favorites like The Mango Tree, Moghul Express, and Deewan, and we keep our energy up with coffee orders from downtown Princeton cafés. Supporting local restaurants and coffee shops is one of the ways we feel connected to the community we serve.
