In this update, we’ll share some updates on sports physicals, PrEP options, new patient consent forms, and our MA externship program.

Keeping kids active all season

Madison Mueller, Aurora, CO Center Manager

"We recently partnered with a local middle school to bring sports physicals directly to campus, clearing ~35 kids to participate in sports, marching band and other activities for the year ahead. Many families assume a sports physical requires a doctor or primary care provider, but they can actually be done at any of our clinics - no appointment necessary.
We're proud to offer this as part of our preventative care services, and even prouder when we can bring that care directly into the community where patients already live and learn.”

A new PrEP option for the San Francisco Bay Area

Jarren Suh, San Francisco, CA Center Manager

"All our clinics offer PrEP, a highly effective, preventive medication for individuals at risk of HIV. And if you’re sexually active, you’re at risk.
In San Francisco, we’re now offering injectable PrEP for patients who prefer a long-lasting treatment. We know that the back-and-forth of starting a new medication can cause people to give up before even starting, so we try to absorb as much of that as possible - like navigating insurance, drawing labs in-house, to convenient follow-ups - to make the experience as simple as possible. You can learn more about it in this blog post.”

Consent forms made clearer

Yuşa Suğur, Sr. Director of Product

“We want to make your visit as easy and stress-free as possible. That's why we've completely redesigned our forms so you always have total clarity on what you are consenting to. It's the kind of behind-the-scenes work that happens every day to keep our clinic running smoothly for our patients."

A holistic MA externship for new grads

Dana Marcotte, SoCal Area Operations Director

“One of the most rewarding aspects of leadership is creating opportunities and watching individuals grow and develop throughout their careers. Our new MA externship program is designed to give new grads a well-rounded foundation in clinic operations, not just clinical skills. It's inspiring to help shape the next generation of Carbonauts.
We are excited to see the program continue to expand, with two externs already placed in Los Angeles, one in New Jersey, and two more scheduled to begin soon!”
